(Seattle, Washington) -- Fikse USA Inc launches an entirely new monobloc (1-piece) wheel line November 1, 2007. Called Chroma, the new series of forged, flowformed monobloc wheels is a major expansion of the company's lineup. The first release of the new series will be Chroma 10 in 19" fitments.

According to company Chief Executive Jim Fikse, "Chroma 10 resulted from years of research and development combined with a major expansion of Fikse USA's manufacturing capability. It is the ultimate expression of wheel design and manufacture at the cutting edge of technology. Chroma is built from a single piece of rotary-forged, flowformed, machined and superfinished aluminum alloy in optimized fitments."

The Chroma series offers unprecedented technology and aesthetics while incorporating over a decade and a half of Fikse USA's racing expertise and championship-winning wheel heritage. Chroma 10 is CNC machined using state of the art 'superfinishing' technology which results in a more brilliant machined finish than previously possible. The brilliant machined finish is clearcoated. The finish improves upon the visual appeal of chrome while offering a more technical, precise look, sharper, crisper shapes, all without the historic problems associated with chrome plating aluminum.

The Chroma 10 style resonates with the company's design philosophy of timelessness while still connecting with the company's most popular designs. Chroma offers new details such as precisely sculpted contours, robust rim lip design, 100% machined inner rim surfaces, larger openings for immproved brake cooling, with extreme precision throughout.

Retail prices for Chroma wheels will be $1,195 for 8.5 x 19 and $1,395 for 11.0 x 19 wheels.

The new Chroma series wheels join the Profil and Classic aftermarket wheels, and the Contour series of professional racing wheels in the Fikse wheel lineup. All wheels from Fikse USA Inc are designed and manufactured in the United States of American at the company's Seattle, Washington area plant.

"Chroma was selected for the new wheel name - quite literally - upon reflection," said Chief Operating Officer Matt Fikse. "The striking prismatic reflections from the brilliant machined surfaces highlight that this is a new level of refinement for high performance wheels. The single-piece forged alloy design is terrifically strong, exceptionally light, and has the attractive brilliance of chrome without the problems long associated with chrome-plating."

Chroma fitments initially will be offered in three 19" diameter sizes for application to Porsche and other marques. Chroma 10 will be offered in 8.5 x 19 ET 51 mm (21.35 lbs.), 11.0 x 19 ET 46mm (25.15 lbs.), and 11.0 x 19 ET 60mm (23.95 lbs.) sizes. Additional styles, sizes, and fitments for Chroma wheels will roll out throughout 2007 and 2008.
