(Goliad, Texas) - Fikse USA wheel dealer Todd Zuccone and his crew from Evolution MotorSports Inc. and Intelligent Tuning in Tempe, Arizona know how to go fast. So fast, in fact, that this year Zuccone's crew achieved several records at the infamous Texas Mile speed runs in March.
The team fielded a Porsche 996 and 997 and ran the event on Fikse Profil 10 modular and Chroma 10 monobloc wheels.
"There is no other wheel that I would feel more comfortable with at these speeds than Fikse wheels," says Zuccone.
"This year, our 996 turbo set the Porsche world on fire with a new 1-mile standing speed record at 231.4 miles per hour. Additionally, we set a new record for the fastest street Porsche from 0-300 km/hr which was done in 15.9 seconds! What makes both of these records even more astonishing is it was accomplished in a 100% street car that weighs 3,300 pounds. This car still has A/C, a full stereo and had nothing stripped out of it.

All of the aerodynamics are 100% stock and the only appearance changes to the car are the Fikse wheels."
Since 2003, the Texas Mile has been a real-world speed test welcoming auto, motorcycle, and other racers from all walks of life. The event runs on an abandoned airstrip outside of Goliad, Texas and competitions are held each March and October. As participants often put it, "The Texas Mile is not for the faint of heart."
