(Kent, WA) -- Contour, Fikse USA's third generation race wheel developed especially for the Grand Am Rolex Sports Car series, raced from initial victory at January's Rolex 24 at Daytona to a spectacular season finale, helping teams win both the Daytona Prototype and GT championships in the Rolex Sports Car Series.
Fikse USA's depth of experience in Rolex Sports Car racing is unmatched by any other wheel manufacturer. Whether measured by the extent of team-specific development projects, the pace of evolution in wheel technology for the series, or simply in number of race wins and championships earned in the modern Rolex series, Fikse wheels continue to help more teams win more races in Rolex racing than any other wheel brand.
"Our business is to help teams win races. It's that simple. Contour incorporates technical improvements to modular rims, forgings, and advanced material sculpting for superior performance," says chief operating officer Matt Fikse, "we're committed to continually advancing the state of the art – while also offering industry-leading service and support. Because we're an American company, designing and building here in the USA, we are able to offer our customers a direct R&D link to the factory – and tailor our efforts to meet each team's needs."
Fikse USA's Contour wheel differs from earlier generation wheels. Some of the changes may not be apparent at a glance but offer an accumulation of performance improvements.

New rim alloys have been deployed, rim profiles have been optimized, center design and construction have been evolved through finite element analysis and track and lab testing. Most apparent is the 12-spoke design with contour-milled spokes and large openings for improved airflow. Since being launched at the start of the 2006 season, Contour wheels have routinely demonstrated superior stiffness, lower mass, and superior performance characteristics in independent track and lab testing.
The race results speak for themselves: Target Chip Ganassi Racing won the 2006 Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype championship racing exclusively on Fikse Contours. In the GT class, TRG Racing garnered a trifecta" earning driver, manufacturer and team championships on Fikse Contour wheels. Both teams performed extensive comparison testing and analysis prior to selecting Fikse as their preferred wheel supplier.
Fikse USA was the only wheel company to launch a line of race wheels specifically for Daytona Prototypes at the start of the series. Design, engineering, and manufacturing are located at Fikse's plant in Kent, Washington, which enable the company to offer higher levels of service and support to all race team customers.
