Led by a cameo appearance by Kyle Petty and John Andretti, Fikse wheels once again dominated the Grand-Am Rolex GT class in the Bully Hill Vineyards 250 at Watkins Glen. Petty and Andretti -- best known for their exploits on the NASCAR circuit -- led a 1-3-4 finish for Fikse-equipped Porsche GT3Rs prepared by Orbit Racing of Jupiter, Fla.
Finishing behind the Petty/Kyle Porsche in GT class was the 3rd place Orbit Porsche of Tommy Byrne and Richard Millman, and the 4th place Porsche of Leo Hindery and Peter Baron.
Orbit Racing, one of Grand-Am's most successful GT teams, has used Fikse wheels for two years now. "We are very impressed with the performance of Fikse wheels," explained Roger Howley of Orbit Racing. "They are very durable and hold up under the banging that always seems to happen -- especially with the NASCAR boys behind the wheel!"

For the 2001 sports car racing season, Fikse wheels have become a smart choice for teams competing in America and Europe, including the American LeMans Series, the Grand Am Series, the Grand Am Rolex Cup, the Speedvision World Challenge, and the European LeMans Series.
Fikse wheels are built from the highest-quality aerospace materials using state-of-the-art construction methods. The wheel centers are crafted from CNC-machined forged aluminum, which is mounted to rim halves CNC-spun from high-strength aluminum. This yields a wheel that is astonishingly strong and lightweight, with the build flexibility to meet any fitment a race team may demand.
For race teams, Fikse wheels are an excellent choice for two reasons: performance and service. Fikse can, and does, manufacture and deliver its wheels on impossibly tight deadlines. Fikse also offers excellent at-track support, sending race support technicians to many races.
